Job description:

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Welder to join our team!

As our Welder, you will be responsible for cutting and joining metals and other materials at our facilities or construction sites. You will be working with the latest technology and equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision. A Welder is a professional responsible for assembling pieces of metal or repairing damage in components using heavy machinery that emits high heat, melting the metals into shape.

  • Welding pipes of various diameters, from very small to large, including diameters up to fi 200.
  • The wall thickness of the pipes can vary from 1 mm to 15 mm or from 1 mm to 20 mm, depending on project requirements.
  • After each welding, the pipes are scanned to check for any remaining voids or defects in the weld.
  • BASE STATION - A complete base station is lowered into the pit, and three welds need to be performed at the marked locations.

Welder duties and responsibilities:

  • Proficient in TIG welding techniques, including precision welding
  • Read blueprints and drawings
  • Take and read measurements
  • Always follow specifications and instructions for maximum efficiency
  • Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
  • Repair machinery
  • Plan layouts and procedures
  • Determine the appropriate welding equipment or machinery to be used
  • Set up components for welding
  • Align components using callipers, rulers, etc. and clamp pieces
  • Report damages to machines and equipment
  • Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws Solders and brazes of copper pipe.
  • Performs complex mechanical installations per engineering direction.
  • Reads and comprehends construction drawings and specifications.
  • Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety Expertly welds small, medium, and large bore pipes of various metals and alloys

Welder requirements and qualifications

  • minimum 5 years of experience as a welder
  • minimum 5 years of experience using a variety of welding equipment, machinery, and procedures (TIG, GTAW)
  • Good knowledge of English
  • 5 years of experience in using electrical or manual tools
  • Strong understanding of weld quality standards and procedures
  • Ability to use grinders, cutting tools, and other hand tools for metal preparation
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
  • Good knowledge of and adherence to safety standards
  • Attention to detail
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Good time-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills,
  • Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is required
  • Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus

  • Salary: competitive salary - 40 hours a week, bonuses for work results; instant salary correction after probation period
  • Working hours: 174 - 185 hours Monthly
  • Overtime work:  up to 30 hours a weekpaid overtime hours as per law
