Mechanics job profile
We are looking for a skilled and experienced mechanic for the maintenance and repair of company trucks, trailers and other vehicles.to apply for a logistics company Habjan/Htehnika in Slovenia!
Job responsibility
- regular vehicle servicing, inspections, maintenance and basic repairs of company trucks, trailers and other vehicles. .
- tyres change and routine maintenance to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
- regular check and maintained brakes, lights, and other essential vehicle systems
- inspection of suspension components and identified mechanical issues requiring repair.
Requirements and qualification (we expect the candidate to have) :
- 2 yrs of practical/real experientce as a truck mechanic or diesel mechanic (not only theoretical knowledge)
- experience with maintenance of trucks, trailers, semi-trailers or heavy vehicles is an advantage,
- knowledge of diesel engines, brakes, suspension, tyres, lights and basic electrical systems, diagnostics
- experience with regular servicing, vehicle inspections and basic repairs,
- ability to detect vehicle defects and report them in time,
- ability to use workshop tools and equipment safely,
- experience with diagnostic equipment is an advantage,
- basic computer skills for service records and diagnostic programs,
- responsible, careful and organized working attitude,
- willingness to learn and follow European safety and maintenance standards
- good knowledge of English language.
Preferred qualifications:
- TESDA Automotive Servicing NC II or NC III with diesel/heavy truck experience
- knowledge of Wabco and Knorr brake systems (if applicable),
- automotive mechanic, diesel mechanic or heavy vehicle maintenance training,
- experience in a transport, logistics or truck service company,
- driving licence, especially for larger vehicles, is an advantage

- Workplace: Škofja Loka, near the capital of Slovenia

- Duration of contract: long term contract - 24 months
- Salary: competitive salary - 40 hours a week, bonuses for work results after 6 months;
- Working hours: cca 174 - 185 monthly
- Over time work: paid overtime hours as per law
- Accomodation & meal: Provided accommodation & meal allowance 250,00 EUR
- Working hours: shift - 7 hours/6 days a week
