We are looking for an experienced and motivated Traffic Dispatcher to apply for different logistic and transport companies in Slovenia!
As a Traffic dispatcher, you will coordinate and dispatch vehicles for pick-up and delivery according to customer requirements and company policies.
Traffic dispatcher duties and responsibilities
- Coordinate and dispatch vehicles for pick-up and delivery according to customer requirements and company policies
- Communicate effectively with drivers to provide them with clear instructions and updates on routes, traffic conditions, and any changes in schedules
- Monitor traffic flow and road conditions to make necessary adjustments to routes, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods
- Utilize GPS and other tracking systems to monitor vehicle locations and provide real-time updates to drivers and customers
- Maintain accurate records of dispatched vehicles, routes, and delivery times for future reference and reporting purposes
- Handle and resolve any issues or emergencies that may arise during transportation, such as accidents, breakdowns, or delays
- Collaborate with other departments, including logistics, customer service, and maintenance, to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and provide guidance to drivers
- Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and assignments, ensuring high levels of productivity and efficiency.
- Continuously evaluate and improve dispatching processes and procedures to optimize operations and maximize customer satisfaction
Traffic dispatcher requirements and qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of work experience on similar positions
- Graduated from Primary and Secondary school
- Excellent knowledge of English language
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is usually required. Candidates with additional education or training in logistics, transportation, or a related field have an advantage
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for traffic dispatchers to effectively coordinate with drivers, clients, and team members
- Organizational Skills: strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize assignments, and coordinate schedules efficiently
- Problem-Solving Abilities
- Knowledge of Transportation Regulations in Europe
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in using computer systems, dispatch software, GPS tracking tools, and communication devices is typically required for traffic dispatchers to effectively manage logistics operations
- Strong customer service skills are important for building positive relationships and addressing inquiries or concerns professionally

- Duration of contract: long term contract - 24 months
- Salary: competitive salary - 40 hours a week, bonuses for work results after 6 months;
- Working hours: cca 174 - 185 monthly
- Over time work: paid overtime hours as per law
