Job Summary: 

We are looking for a talented and passionate European Cuisine Cook to join our culinary team in Kranj, Slovenia.

As a cook specializing in European cuisine, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of European dishes, showcasing your culinary skills and creativity. Your expertise in European cooking techniques and flavors will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of various dishes according to European culinary standards, including cooking soups, baking steaks, steaks and pizzas, frying calamari/squid and preparation pasta, risotto and salad.
  • Experience with grilling, frying in fryers (fryer), cooking in convection ovens, ovens, stewing, sous vide cooking and etc.
  • Concern for the quality of dishes, aesthetic appearance and tasty combinations of ingredients
  • Necessary knowledge and observance of hygiene standards and procedures in preparation food, food handling, cleaning work surfaces and care for personal hygiene

Qualifications:

  • Many years of experience (3-5 years) in the field of European cuisine with an emphasis on the above cooking techniques as a freelance chef
  • Good knowledge or specialization in European cuisine
  • Knowledge of (seasonal) ingredients, their preparation and flavor combinations
  • Self-initiative, creativity and ability to work in a team
  • Accuracy, cleanliness and adherence to hygiene standards
  • Knowledge of English and interest in learning the Slovenian language
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in the hospitality industry.

Our offer:

  • Work place:  City Kranj
  • State: Slovenia, Europe
  • Duration of contract: long-term contract - 1 year( with possibility to extend duration)
  • Salary: 900 EUR net - 40 hours a week  (stimulation for work with positive results. Salary correction based on the employee's effectiveness after the trial period)
  • Over time work: according to the needs
  • Transportation: The amount of reimbursement for transportation to work depends on the location of the temporary place of residence.
  • Accommodation & meal: provided accommodation & 1 meal
  • Working hours: shift - 7h - 6 days a week (160-184 hours monthly)
  • Shifts: 
    • I. shift 6.00 -14.00 hours
    • II. shift 11.00 – 19.00 hours
    • III. shift 14.00 - 22.00 hours
  • Mentoring processes during the orientation period
