CNC operator duties and responsibilities
- As a CNC Operator you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision parts according to technical specifications. Your primary duties will include interpreting technical drawings, programming CNC machines, monitoring machine operations, and inspecting finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
CNC operator requirements and qualifications
- Education - Vocational or high school, Metals or related majors
- Additional technical training, technical college or certification in CNC machining is a plus.
- Min 2 years of experience as a CNC operator or in a similar role in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator or similar
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and blueprints.
- Knowledge of CNC programming and operating procedures.
- Forklift driver course is a plus.
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced environment.
CNC operator Skills:
- independent execution of demanding work on CNC machines
- independent programming in G code
- independent reading of drawings, measurement protocols and other technical documentation
- correct setting of machines and tools, production of elements in the prescribed manner qualities, elimination or labelling of inappropriate products,
- programming and servicing of CNC machines or other machines
- performance of measurements and creation of measurement protocols
- maintenance of demanding machines and devices
- implementation of occupational health and safety regulations in one's work, compliance
- group leader's instructions, compliance with machine maintenance instructions,
- maintenance and cleaning of hardware,
- responsibility for neatness and cleanliness at the workplace, order and discipline
- performing necessary maintenance work on machines, troubleshooting and machinery breakdowns
- implementation of instructions from occupational safety and fire protection
- management of the overhead crane
- carrying out transport with a forklift, loading and unloading
- performs other tasks according to the instructions of the manager and organizational regulations.t
